Name Meaning: His given name is Lakhan, a version of 'Lakshman,' the name of the brother of Rama in Hindu mythology, because Lakhan was born during Diwali, a Hindu festival honoring when Rama, his wife, and his loyal brother Lakshman returned from a war in which the demon king Ravana was killed.
Traditionally, Indians go by their first names, and do not have family surnames. As India modernizes, however, they often pick surnames based on a number of different factors: religion, caste, birthplace, or descriptive terms. In this case, 'Saad' means 'good luck.'

Appearance: Pale green eyes, short, thick black hair that curls when it gets too long, bushy eyebrows, full lips. His skin is a dark tan from his Indian ancestry, his build is average, a bit on the muscular side, and he stands at 5'10". He always dresses immaculately and always goes clean shaven, most often wearing button-up collared dress shirts, slacks, and shiny shoes.

Personality: Rather friendly to most anyone, he has a naturally curious and often mischievous nature. He laughs easily and is quite affectionate, oftentimes making him come off as rather flirtatious even if he doesn't always mean to be. He is not often angry, but when he is he becomes cold and abrasive. He is a practicing Hindu, but very private about that part of his life, as he hates dealing with the stereotypes associated with Indians in general. He is very prideful in his heritage, his faith, and his family, and doesn't do well with slights against them, tending to get even by playing pranks. He always likes to press his luck and see exactly what he can get away with.

Current History: From an extensive Indian family with its roots in Mumbai, but having lived and worked in London for two generations, Lakhan is from a generation trapped somewhere between tradition and the more modern society. Growing up in London, he learned from his father about the family business, and eventually came to Marin for college to study business.
After discovering he is also a senshi, Lakhan has been plagued by nightmares and a sadness he cannot quite shake. He has theorized that this is because he is righting some sort of wrong of a past life that he cannot quite remember. For this reason, he is determined to use his skills as a knight to make the world a better place.

He wears a black mask that covers the top half of his face, and a saffron bandana on his head. There is also a saffron sash about his waist that holds his pata.

Fighting Style: Aggressive, close-range, "hit it until it's dead"
Strengths: Quite skilled with his weapon, but...
Weaknesses: His magic attacks and defenses often backfire or are ineffective altogether, making him often hesitate to use them at all except in times of desperation. Also, his fighting style leaves a lot of holes in his defenses.
Weapon: A pata, much like a short sword, except the blade is integrated with the gauntlet

Attacks
Name of Attack: Horseshoe Ringer
--What it looks like: A single horseshoe of a large size appears in Lakhan's hand and is thrown through the air at an opponent.
--Damage or Effect: It can either cause physical damage, or, given the right circumstances and luck of the throw, it can restrain the opponent.
--Accuracy/Effectiveness: Effective, when it works. Which isn't often, because its accuracy is crap, and it's fairly easy to dodge.

Name of Attack: Roll of the Dice Defense
--What it looks like: A six sided die is rolled. If it lands on the correct side up, a shield of energy is erected.
--Damage or Effect: The shield is operational to defend from a single blow, whether physical or magical
--Accuracy/Effectiveness: Effective for one hit, but... Only has a 1 in 6 chance of working, and sometimes the shield is cast over the wrong target.

Name of Attack: Money Shot
--What it looks like: A handful of coins is tossed, and where they bounce and land they then explode.
--Damage or Effect: Enough to cause burns and pain, and possibly fire, but not a big enough explosion to lose a limb, even with a well-placed hit.
--Accuracy/Effectiveness: Poor accuracy, the bouncing of the coins can't really be controlled, so the attack is better when one is among a group of enemies. There's a high chance of collateral damage, and this could easily be a friendly fire accident waiting to happen.

Past History: He was youngest son of the king and queen of Varuna, a civilization consisting of a multitude of light-hearted individuals who relied on luck in every aspect of life. He was the only of the royal family to survive the initial attack that wiped out most of their civilization. Even though he was known to be the least lucky of the royalty (how ironic that he survived them) he tried to help his people recover, the rest (including himself) were soon destroyed by a plague of poisonous spore clouds. He was later reborn on Earth.
Mission: Learn to control his powers better so he can actually be useful.
