What is Otaku Sailor Wars: RPG?
This is a half-comedy/half-drama RP that revolves around the well-known concept of fan-created Sailor Senshi/Scouts/Soldiers or "Otaku Senshi". It was made mostly to poke fun at the mostly cliched and sueish nature of these characters. But that doesn't mean that you can't play a balanced flawed character as well.Premise of Star Crystal Arc
In an alternate reality, in the palace of Crystal Tokyo, Neo-Queen Serenity took some time to reflect on her past, her fight against the forces of Chaos, and her companions. Not just the 8 sailor senshi that were still by her side to that day, but the thousands of other various powerful senshi who all seemed to leap to her side like metal filings to a magnet.The senshi who single-handedly defeated any force they came in contact with... and were just as special as she was... and still remembered the Silver Millennium... and had crystals that were just as powerful as the Ginzuishou... and sometimes stole the names of already existing senshi like Galaxia, Phobos, and Deimos...
She thought about this for a long time. As she thought about it, paranoia began to set in. The 8 Sol Senshi and her were enough to return peace to the universe. Why were all of these extra senshi resurrected and still around? Why were they coming to Earth? Couldn't they have just as easily stayed on their respective planets and guarded them? Why were some of the senshi from the planets' moons more powerful than herself? What if they were evil and wanted to conquer Crystal Tokyo?
So, she came to a decision. Using the Ginzuishou, she would create an alternate dimension where she could observe the senshi and determine whether or not their powers were real and their intentions were good. Then, if she and her advisors thought that they were "true" senshi, she would release them.
Some time later, she created a dimension that consisted of one large city known as Marin City. This tranquil city, which she had modeled after cities from the early 21st century, had everything the senshi would need: Apartment buildings, schools, restaurants, arcades, a beach to sunbathe on... not to mention a nice surplus of monsters to test their fighting abilities. She did not tell them that they were being judged on their actions as well. No one knew the reason why they were there or even remembered coming to the city.
An inescapable city full of regular and super-powered sailor senshi, knights, and monsters?
Let the chaos begin.
Premise of Hypothetical Nemesis Arc (current)
It has been over a year since Neo Queen Serenity gathered all of the senshi and knights that had begun to appear, wielding strange and impressive powers that rivaled and dwarfed even her own, whose sole purpose was to act as her guardian and even going so far as to usurp the titles of other senshi. Since their appearance they have all been sent to Marin City, a training grounds that existed in an alternate dimension created by the power of the ginzuishou, designed to test the powers and motives of these senshi and knights.During the course of this time, some of these newcomers had come and gone with barely a ripple, while others maintained their ground and overtook the challenges sent to them. Not all were able to withstand the test of the Queen of Crystal Tokyo. Their numbers rose and dwindled, until finally a handful remained, triumphant over their final test.
Neo Queen Serenity, impressed with this group, rewarded them. Some became even stronger, while others were allowed to leave and return to wherever they wished to call home. The ones that left had no memory of the true encounter with the Queen, during which they made their decision. Those that chose to stay, however, were not granted a long reprieve. Neo Queen Serenity's powers flickered for the barest of moments during her conference with the warriors, and something entered the dimension Marin had been sealed into, drawn by the immense amounts of power gathered there.
The Queen and her Guardians, unable to enter and supply aid to the warriors and drive back the new threat, could only hope that the senshi and knights would rise to the challenges that lay ahead.
The city is as inescapable as ever. Insane villains, super powered senshi and knights, and enthusiastic trainees?
And you thought things were going to be boring.
