Castles with guards were not usually very inviting to the public, unless it was some sort of reinactment. Which was always possible. In fact, it was a logical choice, considering the situation. Yes, somehow instead of going to Katako's apartment she must have wandered into the forest around Marin City.
Taking a deep breath, she strode up to the knights (their faces covered by strange, blunt, stone masks, expressionless) and said, "Excuse me, I think I'm lost. Can you redirect me to Marin City?"
They stood as if her words hadn't even been heard, strange carved eyes staring out to the forest.
"Excuse me? If this is some sort of thing where you aren't supposed to recognize modern people, please signal, or something." The blonde said with mild irritation. However, the guards did no such thing.
A moth-masked red head ran past her, greeting the guards with a hurried, "Queen's wardrobe duty, must bring the designs to her!"
"Understood, Ma'am." They said, pounding their lances on the ground, signaling for someone to open the castle gates. Kristen now had an immense feeling of dislike for these picky guards. The moth-girl ran through the gates, which gave Kristen an idea.
"Well, since she can get in, I'm sure you won't object to me following, yes?" Kristen said. As expected, the guards didn't say or do anything. "Why thank you." Inviting herself in, she entered the castle.
